Hi
Yesterday started the engine - fine. When I selected Reverse there was a scratching noise. Also present in Drive. Not there in P and N.
After lots of research and trial and error I'm 99% sure it's someting in the torque converter thats gone amiss.
The scratching sound sounds like it's 'hollow', like there's not enough ATF in the converter. The level in the gearbox was a bit low and topped that up but no difference.
Could anyone please tell me where the T Converter filler hole is?
Any ideas on what else could be wrong?
autobox problem... yet again

you cant top the torque converter up by its self, its filled through the shaft that goes into it, so if your box is full then so is the torque converter, ive had the same problem i had the clutches and the bands replaced well basically the box rebuilt and that sorted it
