Folks, I'm looking for an engine stand for an m20 B20
and have seen a couple in machine mart... what does a 6 potter weigh?.. as I want to be sure i buyer a stand that can take the weight safely...

It's not all about the load the stand can take, but the orientation of the feet to create stability, confidence and the ability to move the stand with an engine on it. The best stands are those with a U or H shaped base. Slightly worse are those which are a H but with a shortened bar on the front, and the worst are those with a T shaped base.
