Im looking for a clutch for my 325 engined 320, still on the 320 box. Any considerations i need to make when ordering a clutch? is there any difference with it being an M20 on a 320 box rather than a 325 box?

Only difference between the two is the pressure plate, the 325i plate has stronger springs, giving a heavier pedal.I have covered getting on for 50k miles using the original 320i clutch with my 2.7 M20 engine,so the smaller engine's clutch will do the job.

So in short, the luks clutch I've been offered for a 325 at £85 will be no better in reality to the 320 Luks clutch I've been offered for £55? And will fit just the same?

Unless you regularly drop the clutch at 6000rpm,the cheaper item will be just fine.

I fitted a 325i clutch to a 320i box on a 2.5 engine - no problems at all. Like daimlerman says, you only need the 325i clutch if you're really abusing it.
