I'm thinking the clutch master cylinder is starting to show its age on my 325, if I hold the clutch for more that a few seconds (like parking in tight gaps etc) it starts to bite very near the bottom (normal place for mine is about 1/4 off the floor)

To me this feels like M/C seals, but what symptoms would the slave cylinder failing give? Presumably not wanting to go into gear at all?

Advice before I order would be much appreciated :D

Many thanks

Andy

Andy, i've got a spare slave cylinder you could fit and see if it makes any difference. Its brand new and a 2 nut job if i recall correctly.

Slave cylinder leaking would give exactly the same effect, but you would be losing fluid as well.
Not losing fluid = master cylinder faulty.
Losing fluid = either faulty - the mess will show you which.
Either way, it's recommended that both are changed at the same time.
