Headlight help needed

I am stripping my pre-facelift headlights for a much needed refurb. I can't work out how to separate the final two parts.

I've got this far without breaking anything and I don't want to start now

The parts I need to remove are A and B here

I've tried a 16mm socket on B and clamped A in a vice, feels like if I go any harder I'll just round if off. Already soaked with WD40. Any tips?
