So it's like this, the last week or so, while cold a lot and sometimes when normal temp, when I accelerate, it feels like the car is going to stall every few seconds, like it feels like I will stall, then a surge of power, then another stall feeling, then surge, stall feeling, surge etc for about 20 seconds and then it seems ok until I press the pedal again. All that happens within a second of each other.

At first, I thought it was the AFM because of the way it idles, like 700 when cold and 400 - 500 when warm, but I just changed it and it's idling a bit better now, like 750 ish at normal temp, but the problem is still there.

It's a 318i Touring. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Sounds like the blue temp sensor is bad.... test it here's how :

So I did the test, with the multimeter at the ECU, it says I should be seeing between 3500 and 4000 ohms but I'm only getting between 66 and 100 o.0. Should I be concerned about that? I may well be doing it wrong but I don't see another way to do it. Cheers.

Check it at the sensor plug in the cylinder head. If it has the same reading, change it.

So I couldn't figure it out, and I changed a HT lead that was broken, and now it's the opposite? Fantastic Idle (like 1200) and performance at cold, and shitty idle (like 400) when hot and no power at all.

Ok so I fixed it. I changed the blue temp sensor as you suggested, but it was still the same. I changed the injectors and it was still the same. I checked through wiki, and it turned out to be either the TPS or the ICV, both were full of shit. I cleaned them both at the same time so not too sure which one specifically it was. But it runs great now. Thanks for your support.
