The headlining at the back of my touring is sagging totally. Spray glue has been tried on it which worked for about 2 days then dropped again. Spoke to a bloke who does car upholstery and he said it needs a new linning fitted because something about a board behind it that gets ruined over years? He said about £150 for a new headlining to be fitted which i dont really fancy paying that much. Anyone know how to re stick a headlining for good? Or anyone know someone who can work some magic on it round south london?

Does that price include removing the liner and fitting new material?Rich2388 wrote: He said about £150 for a new headlining to be fitted which i dont really fancy paying that much.
If so,bite his hand off and leave him with a bloody stump!

And then post his details on here, if he wants more business the same. Should be plenty of takers.daimlerman wrote: Does that price include removing the liner and fitting new material?

The real problem is the thin layer of foam rubber between the liner and the rigid backing is turning to dust. if you just use spray glue, you are just fixing to more deteriorating foam rubber, which soon gives way.
The whole thing has to come out, be scraped clean, then recovered.
