Changing back to standard suspension...............

I have a 316i Touring with a 70/50 lowering kit.

I now have to use my car for work which involves carrying heavy loads, so need her back to standard, or at least not so low that the wheels foul the arches under a full load. Also, I cannot stand the uncomfortable, bumpy ride on the country roads where I live (full of pot holes!).

Can anyone tell me if I can keep the up-rated shocks I have fitted and fit standard touring springs with them, or do I need to change the shocks back to standard if I go this route?

Another alternative would be to fit some lower springs that just aren't as short, but again, could I use these with the shocks that came with my current 70/50 lowering kit?

Any advise would be appreciated. TIA

I would fit standard dampers with standard springs if you want to have the full range of movement in the suspension.

At a guess you will have shorter than standard dampers,which will not work properly with standard length springs.

A compromise that you may like to try would be M-tec front springs(-15mm)with standard rear springs damped with Borge gas dampers to M-tec spec,this should offer both decent load carrying with a firmer than standard ride.
