Standard E30 springs on a M3?

I know the front set-up is different so uses different springs/shocks.

But, isn't the rear set-up similar to the standard E30, just different hubs?

Can I fit springs from a 325i convertible on my M3 rear suspension? I need the rear end dropping and have some springs off my other convertible.
