This is a follow on from the topic (but where has it gone?) previously put in on the Check Panel issue, where the Brake Fail Light stays on and the flashing check light on the instrument panel can only be cleared by pressing the CHECK button on the Check Panel. This followed putting LED lights into the rear flashers when seemed to have messed up pressing the brake pedal to clear the flashing check light and also the Brake Light Fail indication.

Looking at Bentleys it seems possible that the issue is with the Rear Lights Check Relay, but where is it located in the Touring please? All the fuzes have been checked and are OK.

As usual, thanks in advance for any help.

if you look in the passenger side boot compartment you will see it behind some metal work.

Doubt if there's anything wrong with the lamp check relays. Check that you haven't caused a poor connection in one of the brake bulb lamp holders, and that the common earth pin for each cluster is making good contact.

You've posted in the wrong section, BTW, so I'll move it. This is (was) tech. help for BMWs other than E30s.
