Hi
I've posted about this before, still no luck.
I changed a radiator hose pipe the other week which had developed a split. I lost about 2 litres of coolant relpacing the top pipe. When I came to introduce more coolant it did not want to know?
It will now warm up to 1/3 on temp gauge slowly and then increse in heat dramatically until 3/4, it would continue into the red if I left it?
I assume this is an air lock as I have no heat coming through the blowers and into the cabin, even on speed 4 of hot??
I have bled the system from cold twice but no joy, I have used the bleed screw on the thermostat housing and the other smaller bleed screw on the housing.
I have back flushed the radiator which looks to be fairly new any way, I have pushed water through the heater matrix pipes with a hose.
The top hose on the radiator gets hot so I assume that the thermostat is opening okay, it's only 3 months old. The water pump is new also.
The heater matrix pipes are luke warn (both)?
I have had the expansion bottle off and held it high with the nose of the car in the air.
I have taken off the top hose which always seems to be full of air and attempted to introduce coolant into the system direct via this hose.
The car still has no hot air from the blowers and still gets hot??
The car has never overheated / been in the red, and no mayonnaise in the water so not a head issue?
I do have an LPG conversion which means I have an additional 2 water pipes running to the regulator, both of which I have directly filled with water?
Any ideas as I've been working on this for 2 weekends now with no joy??
Cheers

Fill the coolant resevoir pretty much to the top, unscrew the hoseclip that holds the top heater hose on at the bulkhead, then pull that hose off for half a second. The air and some coolant will come out.
Push the hose back on, tighten the clip and check the coolant level.
Do all this with the car level or up at the front, and with the heater control on full hot.
Hope you haven't run the car too much like this, as it's a fairly effective way of cracking a head.

Cheers for advise but I've tried bleeding the system a number of times already.
I am not using the car at the moment as to do so would damage the head, the car has never overheated, never been any where near the red.
Cheers anyway
