um where do i run the cable!
where does it go through the bulkhead, where does it go through at the rear seats into the boot compartment and where do i run it inside the car?
finally what hardware to i need to mount the remote positive terminal securely in the engine bay? I have the long thick cable with male and female ends, a grommet which is presumeably where it goes through the bulkhead, and a short thick cable with female on one end and a big spade connector on the other.
i pic of a 325 bay would be a good start!
cheers.

Toby, the cable runs into the inner wing first, before it bends towards the bulkhead, it then runs down near the speaker in the drivers foot well, then along the sill, tucked under with some other wiring, it then runs through the rear panel near the lower seat belt mount, and to the battery.
For the hardware to mount in the front, take a look at the realoem site to find out.

Is it worth doing this to my cab???, I have only ever owned sports with the battery in the boot but I dont see a problem with my current car having the battery under the bonnet!

I don't think so Steve, your has a bit of weight at the rear anyway with the hood mechanism, so don't see any reason to have the battery in the boot, this was the reason behind the 325i saloon having it in the rear to aid weight distribution.
Only real benefit of having the battery in the boot is when installing some sound system. And in Toby's case, when you've got a 3.5 up front coupled to a turbo, any weight that can be shifted to the rear is a bonus!

I thought you also gain space under the bonnet if you move the battery to the boot!
