Hello All,

Anyone know why 'all' of the electrics should die after draining the battery?

Like a fool I left the sidelights on (for 36 hrs!) Battery dead as a dodo of course.
Swopped it with another which I know is a good un, but everything is still dead. No interior light, dash warning lights or anything. Even the LED on the Cobra alarm is dead.
I've checked the fuses (all fine)

Thought it could be the Alarm, but that normally wouldn't stop the radio, interior lights, sidelights, etc, so not sure if it is something even more fundamental.

She's an 87 325i if that makes any difference.

Cheers in advance for any help.

Mike :(

No fusible links on an E30 that I know of, so either your replacement battery is flat, or the battery terminals aren't making contact.
The only things that you may have upset should be the radio and engine ECU. Might run a bit lumpy for a 100 miles untill it sorts itself out.
