interior light wiring

my car (2-door hard top) has no interior light on either side. I've bought a pair along with their little looms but i dont know which way the wires run. i.e. forwards down the A-pillar or backwards down the B or C-pillars. Can anybody shed any light on this as i don't want to go on a wild goose chase pointlessly dismantling bits.

The interior light wiring runs backwards along the roof and then down inside the B pillar. It plugs into its corresponding female socket just behind the lower retaining bar for the seatbelt
