I can hear hear a humming noise which I think is comming from the rear of the car when cruising slowly in fifth(less engine noise). I'm pretty sure the car was negleted prior to my purchase and wondered what could be the cause. I have'nt checked the diff oil(can't get up and level)

Humming noise's are generally caused by bearings or spinning things in the driveline.

I would check/change the Diff oil first.
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

Will do that, I guess the car must be level to check the oil?
