Fuse 24 keeps blowing.

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

Hi there,
Im a new guy to this forum, thought i can get some ideas about my BMW e30 318 i convertible.
Bought the car last month and im in love with it but the thing is, car has some electrical problems or shell i say a lot of electrical problems. On the fuse board fuse number 24 keeps blowing, as a result of that fuel gauge, temperatur gauge and everything else on the dash boar is not working except spead reader, heand break light, and indicators. Also reversing lights are not working. So i change the fuse turn the ignition on gauges will all work all the lights on the dash board will work everything is fine
Then as soon as i try to turn the engine on fuse blows.

Any one have any similar experience. Please help :cry: :cry:

Is the wiring to the glovebox light short circuiting?

Theres is a reverse light switch on the side of the gearbox. Probably faulty or the wiring has come of the switch, 7quid from BMW for a new switch when I last bought one.
