Does anybody know why the lights on the cluster are so dim? I've changed the switch and no difference.

Thanks :)

Have you tried rotating it - it also acts as the lamp dimmer!

Maybe one or more of your backlight bulbs are blown, or on their way out.

It's a fairly easy job to remove the cluster and the bulbs just untwist at the back.

Changed the bulbs aswell. Could it be the SI board battery?

Unlikely, but possible. Did you fit bulbs of the correct wattage?

In that case, check the connections to the back are secure, and that you have a good earth.

Do the rest of the instruments and SI lights work OK?

That may well be indicative of duff SI batteries then.

Could be a bad ground on the dimmer switch...try shorting either wire on the dimmer switch to a good clean ground point..these wires go to ground (G100) I think in any case.
