any sugestions what it might be and what to do about it ,i think the solinoid packed up mabey i should go to the breakers and get one, is the soliniod located on the left side of the of the flap when opend?, or should i have a mate take the soliniod out and check to see if there is a live feed in the wire with a meter???

the engine that open / shuts the flap lock is located in the trunck ( yeah i live in france but i'm us lool ) so its in the trunk on the right side looking at the back of the car...
its probably hiden by your trunk lining but its suposed to be there ....
i'd first unplug / replug it to be sure it no bad contact....
