ok so i am fitting a electric fan to my car and i was just wondering where is the best place to put the thermostat on a 316i

Big question is, why are you fitting an electric fan?

i am fitting the fan because the viscous fan broke is fitting a electric fan not a good idea like? and thanks for the link

Replace the viscous unit? The units themselves are cheap and work perfectly well.
