convertible m tech 2 side skirts modifications

Hi all! my e30 is in the body shop ready for paint however my mechanic cant seem to fit the side skirts properly. when the front part of the side skirt is hooked into the wing pod it leaves a large gap which carries on all the way to the end. also the angle in which it sits on the sill is not straight. I know that the coupe mtech 2 side skirts are different to the convertible ones however i also know that with a couple of modifications they should fit. i mean alot of people have done that on here? if anyone could give me any advice it would be much appreciated many thanks.

P.S it is a genuine bmw m tech 2 kit

If its the cars in the picture that should be a pre facelift car on a F plate, and the tech 2 kit is for facelift cars. It will require some bodgery to make fit.

nope the car is a facelift model the f reg is a long story
