My car has just literally shat itself today. It started spewing out steamy coolant and liquid coolant from the passenger side of the center console.
It must of blown out about 2 liters of coolant as the carpet is soaking.
I have read on the wiki that this is to do with the valves relating to the heater matrix.
Can anyone tell me which parts are required, and if they can be bought from the dealers? How much am I looking and what part numbers will be required?
I still haven't fully located the leak to a specific location as it was dark, but will do in the morning. Could anyone give a heads up as to what I should get to replace?
Many thanks.

The RealOEM or bmwfans.info websites will provide all the part numbers you need. As the Wiki states:
This is the cause of 99% of "wet passenger footwell" issues. The heater valve connects the matrix to the stub pipes, and its joints and O-rings can break down over time.
So get the O-rings and heater valve from the dealer.

ETK has two diagrams, with small writing tucked away in a corner, saying 'metal/aluminium pipes' or 'plastic pipes', normally corresponding to air con. or non air con. Make sure you order the right ones.
Also check that your car has had its coolant bottle pressure cap changed under the safety recall.

Can anyone help me with part numbers please?
The car is a 1990 318i automatic 4 door Non-air-con
What part numbers shall I ask for?
How much am I looking to expect to pay?
Thanks

If you own an E30, you need to know your way around the ETK: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E30/4 ... _blower-2/
