Hi I've gathered all the bits to do my conversion I think ......
Have my 325i head and 525 e bottom end gunna bolt the head to the block use eta crank , rods , pistons . I have all the turbo stuff already on my e30 turbo . Is there anything I have to do to the engine before bolting together ? Seems to easy , is there Machining to be done ? I've been reading loads !! But information is so mixed and a lot of posts are using super eta and engines from America so I don't know if there the same . also I'm doing it on a budget I'm not gunna buy forged pistons etc . Going for 300-350 bhp was running 280bhp on my 325i but the headgasket went and have decieced to 2.7 as I have the engine on the garage . Any help would be great as I'm starting this weekend .

Have you read this in the wiki.... http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... ding_a_2.7

I'm fairly sure the compression ratio is slightly higher than a standard 325i once you bolt a 325i head on a 2.7 bottom end, so that won't be ideal for a turbo build unless you build the engine properly to begin with.

You won't be getting 300-350bhp without building the engine to cope.
