i put in a new stereo and now my heater motor switch doesn't work.

what happens if you listen carefully is periodically the thing lightly clicks and the lights lightly flicker.

turn the heater motor to zero and this doesn't happen

please please please . i am so cold and can't see at night

what did i do ?

thanks for trying to help
Don't you wish there were a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked 'Brightness', but it doesn't work.

Sounds like the fan is seized or jammed, but can't see how this is connectd to stereo fitting.
Take the access panel off at the back of the engine bay and see if the fan will turn by hand.

Agree it seems lkely that the problem is something you disturbred when fitting the stereo, but that doesn't really explain the clicking and light flickering.
Connectors you may have disturbed are on the back of the fan switch and a white 6 or 8 pin (IIRC) plug and socket near the top left of the heater box.
