Hi found the reason why my 325i turbo headgasket has gone with help from another helpful e30 zone member ! I have the earlier higher comp engine is this useless for turbo application ? I have been offered the lower comps pistons from the later model but was wondering what the best thing to do money wise ? Decomp plate on eBay are 40 quid is this a option and what thickness would I get ?
Buy the newer pistons ?
I can get hold of a eta engine for 60 quid off a mate could I just put the I 885 head on it and its good for turboing from what I read .....? Ahh I'm stuck its getting more and more complicated !
The only other option is to m50 but would I be able to reuse most of my parts turbo , megasquirt etc ??
