Ride height

Greetings clever people,

One of my front springs has broke, I have no idea what mm spring kit to buy as it was already lowered when I bought it. Is there anyway to work it out? I don't know what the original ride height was but I like it the height it is now. Maybe if someone with the same spec body and wheels and standard springs measured thiers would I be able to tell by the difference?
I'm a bit of a dim bird when it comes to calculations ffs.

Anyway, it's a 93' 2.5 Lux Convertible (originally a 1. with original standard BBSs. I do know that it had Mtec suspension as standard which is apparently lower than normal so they may even be the original springs.

The ride height in your pic looks lower than M-tec springs. I would safely say you can rule them out. They are dear brand new over 400 i think but can be picked up second hand for 50-100.

Eibach springs are the most widely reccomended for e30's, and i think it would offer a similar drop to how your car looks above about 35mm drop. They arent too badly priced either around 200 for a brand new set, i think they do cab specific sets aswell.

Thanks for the advice, my friend who works at a Beemer garage is ordering a set for me at trade price of 75 which is nice but he wants to know 60mm or 40mm so of the 2 choices, would it be the 60s? they are the lower height right? :0/

60mm is the lower ride height. Cabriolet rear springs are uprated to take extra weight though so ideally you want to get a cabriolet specific spring kit

I would also get a 325i kit even if it was originally a 4 cylinder, the 325i springs will fit and will be designed for the load of that engine
