Hi I have a m20 b25 turbo atm I think the internal are stock so was planning on doing a new turbo engine ready to fit this winter . I've been offered a engine which is ment to be a 2.7 it's a genuine alpina , it's ment to be some think like 5 series bottom end or something anyone heard of these and would it be good for turboing ? I was gunna put arp head studs and try run about 340 bhp is that possible ? Would I need a decomp plate any help would be good a˜€

as a standard 2.7 i believe there cr is way to high like in the 10.xx to high for fi
if it was a hybrid like a e bottom end and i top end with diesel crank i think there in the low 8s but dont quote me on it

Is it worth doing putting a 2.7 in it is a e bottom end I top I think , will it be low revving or normal like a 2.5 ? From what I read some say don't stick with the 2.5 some say go with the 2.7 is there much advantage I can get the engine 200 quid this weekend

yeah the 2.7 will be more torquey but if it's a original alpine I don't think it will be any good as there higher comp than the stroked variety

It's a eta for sure just thought it would be a good project instead of building about m20b25 ?? Buying arp head studs and mls gasket would be easy to get hold of right ? Being that its not and original engine if you puting a head of one to the block
