As per title, I'm after a bit of advice regarding anti roll bar set-up, or more specifically, what angle is desirable.
I've been doing a bit of reserch, the most informative post I found was by a guy called Empty on S14.net:
"bar works the same regardless of its angle; adjusting the position of the bar at static ride height so that it runs downhill allows the effective length of the bar to increase slightly under compression of the strut, thereby "softening" the bar, a nice effect when you are in a bumpy brake zone, when the bar runs uphill at static ride height the bar is effectively shortened under compression, slight stiffening the bar"
Now, I was thinking that stiffening of the bar under load (cornering specifically) would be preferable? Linear spring rates stiffen as more travel is used, motorcycles have, for years, had rising rate linkages, so why would effectively falling rate be desirable with anti roll bars? (Apart from, as mentioned above, bumpy braking zones)
This car set up malarky is all new to me.
Thanks in advance. Dave.
