Having a bit if a mare with my fuel pump the wires that go to it do not work I tired a few things I read in the wiki but to no avail .anyway I have since fitted a fuel cell in the boot and have moved the pump ,to get it in and out the garage I wired it via a switch but This is the question ,do the normal wires go through some kind of crash sensor as I want to include that into the new wires to avoid fire incase of a crash last thing I want is to be upside down somewhere with the little pump that can happily pumping away ......I know its a strange one and not the best explained but any help would be erm helpful .

The engine ECU controls the fuel pump relay, and only switches it on when it detects that the crankshaft is rotating.

Thanks Brian already I need to do more checks then I thought it would switch on with the ignition NOT only when the crank is rotating bugger ,if I still get no joy I will try just rewire through the relay .
