Planning a suspension upgrade early in the new year, and I was looking to replace misc bushings, and while browsing realoem.com I notice there are 3 lower spring pads for the rear. 5mm, 7.5mm, and 10mm. Any idea which one is required for a standard (non mtech) 325 ?
Thanks in advance.

Well, i have just changed my springs. I would say that the standard bottom pads that were fitted to mine were around the 7.5mm size.

Cheers Kam, I guess 7.5 would be the obvious choice.. 2.5mm either way isn't really going to affect ride height. What sort of condition were the old pads? Are people always replacing these with their new springs?

They were in good condition. Only bad bit was were the end on the lowering spring had "Squashed" the rubber near the centre of the pad.

Just done my rear springs & the pads were fine... That's not to say I can guarantee yours will be, but I've heard from other people that they don't really wear out too often...

What you *definately* want is rear topmounts... (fronts don't go so often again) You can get uprated ones that are designed for e30 convertibles, or e46 convertible ones are better too.
Also, arb droplinks & tca bushes, maybe arb bushes too.
Rear axle bushes are a biatch, so I'll be getting mine done rather than doing them myself...

Topmounts and ARB bushes are on the list for sure.. Maybe I'll just visit the zoneshop, tick every box in the 'Powerflex' column, and send a blank cheque
