Upgrades in what sense? How well your steering rack bolts on?

What do you mean by 'upgrade'. Its just a steel structure that carries the lower suspension mounting points, the steering rack and the engine.
Thee's no other cross member from any other BMW that will bolt straight on, but with enough metalwork, anything is possible.

the wiki is wrong. The e30 m3 front subframe has a different part number. 31112226017
I don't know how or why it's different (possibly strengthened around the arb or engine mounts? )
the subframe part number 31 11 1 130 707 (which replaces 31 11 1 126 428 ) covers the rest of the range from 316 to 325i including the s14 engines 320is
cheers,
harry
