just flushed coolant and changed thermostat, distruptor and rotar arm

so i emtied the lot, flushed it. then i put the bottom hose back on the radiator, turned the heater to full on hot and undone the bleed nipple. filled up the exspansion tank gave the hoses a few squizes and filled up tank again. then i started the engine, heared some screeches as if the water pump was dry and then it faded into a sorta dull screeching sound and it wont go away??

have i fooked the water pump?

cheers

More likely that you've disturbed something so that it is rubbing on the belts or pulley.

is it a 325? When I did my first cam belt change I confused myself about the drive belt positioning- could it be in that area kind of screech?

LOL, joys of owning an old car hey.

Electrics are the worst, changing something simple is guarenteed to lead to hours of fault finding of unrelated new problems !!
