Hi, just wondered if its a straight swap for fitting the m52b28 in place of the crap m50 2ltr, do I just need the engine and inlet and the ecu will the rest of the wireing run it ok, or is it easier to just go 2.5?
Cheers

It's a 'straight swap', yes, in that all the mechanical bits fit near enough the same a a M50, but it will need to be a complete engine, which includes all sensors, electrics and ECU complete with EWS.
May have something to do with the is on eBay yes, but it does need a bit of sorting, is running rich as, and dosent start easily I guess the maf meter is dead as it fires up easier with unplugged.
If it was a 2.5 m50 would it just be direst swap? Just ecu and inlet stuff needed?

Right, been a bit lazy with this, but bought a whole 328 touring.
Have had a look and serch for wiring guides for using all the wireing, ews and ecu from the m52 motor but can only find ones for running part or obd1. Any help? Cheers.

Have a read. There's a wealth of M50/M52 info in the Wiki:
