hey guys. i have just bought an e30 and unluckily my central locking worked until last week.
the drivers door wouldn't fully lock the door or bring the pin far down enough and the central locking wouldnt work and caused the p/s door to dead lock. so with some investigation the key barrel was broken so i ordered a re-built kit and thats sorted, but now i still can't unlock my p/s door but i can lock and unlock the boot and d/s door.

Any ideas as i dont want to break my door card to investigate the p/s door.

cheers

If that fix doesn't work, then put up a post in our Tech Section and you should get something that works. :D

ok so i have done the drivers loop and changed the drivers door lock cylinder. the p/s door still wouldnt open. when i turn the drivers key you can hear the relay clicking. after much agro i striped the door card off the p/s and tried to leaver the actuator up but it was stiff and wouldnt budge, i tried to click the micro switch on the p/s and could hear the relay but nothing happened. in the end iv taken the actuator out to just get the door open. the actuator is stiff and cannot be moved were i could move the drivers one. could this be my problem or would the acutator have nothing to do with the central locking not working all round?

New actuator should solve your problem!

Hi if you haven,t managed to open the passengers door yet ,then try this,it worked for me .Wind the window down remove the plastic ring on the door pull next pull off the plastic dome to expose the wire, with a pair of long nosed pliers grip the wire and pull sharply up wards you might get lucki
