Sent my car in for a service 2 and to get the front brake lines replaced and rear sub frame bushes done.

Unfortunately my guy could not get the Brake disc light on the dash to switch off? He said he checked the sensor and everything was fine... what did he miss?

Thanks

Maybe the cable that goes from the sensor to the wheel arch is cracked... it happens frequently with ABS cables.

Light comes on when the cable shorts to earth,as this is what happens when the sensor wears out.So if the wire has been rubbing on the inside of a road wheel, the light comes on.

Can also be a fault on the main circuit board within the instrument cluster, there's a large resistor that lives just behind the temp gauge that can develop a 'dry joint'.

There's also a second sensor at the rear RH wheel, on cars with rear discs.
