My beige door cards are hopefully turning black to match my new seats and (hopefully successful) dyed carpet.
I assume some sort of vinyl paint is the way to go and there seems to be a few cans on eBay. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Have a look for Matt86's picture threads, he has had his whole interior dyed cardinal red and the results looked pretty good. I think Rav may have put him onto the person that did it.
Furniture clinic do a kit for around £80 last i checked. Results are good if done properly.
Poss cheaper to just buy a set of black doorcards though.

yes, talk to rav, or alternatively buy some black leather dye (make sure you get the correct colour), are the door cards cloth, or vinyl/leather?Rtaylor2208 wrote:Have a look for Matt86's picture threads, he has had his whole interior dyed cardinal red and the results looked pretty good. Buy some door cards if your just going black, much better finish with the real thing! And they are easily obtained. I have some available too. Matt's door cards look awesome, but the chances of him finding original cardinal red ones would have been slim so it makes it easier to just dye

too true jim, it will cost you around the same anyway and dye rubs off after a while and needs touching up as I have found out when you get scuff marks etc, luckily I have touch up dye though. But go for the genuine ones and buy off jim.Jim320i wrote:Buy some door cards if your just going black, much better finish with the real thing! And they are easily obtained. I coloured my vinyl horseshoe black with a £10 can from halfords guessing you would need about 3.5 - 4 cans to get good coverage for the door cards.

It's a 4 door with vinyl cards. Only paying £20 for the black seats so not really interested in buying a set of black cards. Would cost that to get them across the Irish sea.
Mo, whats that halfords stuff like to touch? Sticky at all?

Not sticky at all, the paint is a rubber based paint so it does not crack but doesn't feel rubbery either
Didn't kno there was a choice with vinyl spray...but if I had to choose I'd go for gloss and scrub up the leathers with some treatment.
