I have upgraded to rear discs. Is it worth removing my old driveshafts as spares?
If so is it an easyish job to remove and how?
Cheers

u need to get the big nut off each end 26-28mm i think, i expect this is inside the drum itself?
the other end is the 8mm allen bolts about 6 in total which attach to the diff.
Might be a bit difficult with out being able stop the shafts/diff moving whilst undoing everything.
One end of the shaft is splined too so u might need to whack them on the ends to get them out.
I've broke one of these before, but they are as good as gold as long as the rubber boots don't split

Too true, the big nut is fairly tight. You might be able to get it undone by fitting the spare wheel to it and have someone try to hold it as you heave with a long breaker bar.Simon13 wrote:Might be a bit difficult with out being able stop the shafts/diff moving whilst undoing everything
Good idea to keep spares, I have a pair of spare driveshafts but I removed the nuts before i took them off the car.
Best of luck,
