Trying to get the rear beam bushes out, I havent got the tool to draw them out so have been attacking it with a drill, jigsaw, chisel , hacksaw blades etc. The center of the bush stayed on the car when I dropped the beam down slightly so that isnt the problem its just the ridiculously strong outer sleeve.
Any suggestions I havent thought of or shall I just persist.

Not going to do that while its still on the car, I'm not having trouble with the rubber, its the outer sleeve which sits in the beam i'm having trouble manipulating

Just drop the beam,
the time you've been messing around on your back, fighting with the bushes,
you could of had the beam down, bushes out and new ones in

I dont, would it be worthwhile picking one up? I have looked at some guides where they have been used do you seat it on the subframe and then use a large washer to draw it through?

I jigsawed through the metal sleeve carefully on opposite sides.thing is how are you getting the new bushes in? I think if you don't have the tool its easiest to take it off, give it to a garage with a press will rake them 10 mins

Get the rear axle of the car completely then either a) burn them out (there is a very thin layer of rubber between the metal casing and axle which will free up nicely once hot enough) or b) cut thro the casing in two places and hammer out
