Not sure if anyone can help or not....
I'm looking for someone local that maybe interested in working on my E30 as the head gasket has given up, I'm to old now to do this myself.

Very rare for the headgasket to blow, most likely case is that the cylinder head has cracked.
Pull the rocker cover off,and with the engine idling, examine the area below the camshaft, you are looking for a line of tiny bubbles.
Other possible is corrosion to a waterway over the exhaust ports, this will give a water vapour exhaust with little loss off grunt.
Age is just a number,if you have nowhere warm to work and your E30 is an 'extra',lay it up until the weather gets warmer, then get spannering.Cylinder head swap is not as difficult as some make out,I think if you hunt the zone wiki you will find a photo guide.
Welcome to the zone,BTW!
