hi all ,,

i see that everyone is saying you need to swap the sumps over when putting the 328 m52 into a e30 as the sump lump is to close to the subframe,, but how close is close, any body have pics,

im not trying to cut corners its just im planing on raising the engine up higher anyway to give me more ground clearance, even if it means the bonet stays in the first release stage,

thanks, steve

All sumps have a bulge in their bottom to hold an oil supply. On E36,this bulge is in a place that makes it impossible to fit directly into E30.
However,help is at hand!
Use a sump and oil pick up from an M50 engined E34,and the engine will fit just fine, and the bonnet will close properly.
Youth is wasted on the young.
