HI chaps,
I have a quick question, I hope the answer is simple as well !
Basically, I sorned the car a month ago so I can work on it for the MOT and then MOT it, tas it and insure it all at the same time.
Basically, every now and then I take it for a spin to keep it alive and it jerks off quite a lot if I don't keep the revs high, and then when idle it cuts off. This dissapear when the engine is warm, and I have been advised that the reason is a nackered dizzy cap/rotor arm.
Oh yeah almost forgot: there IS the usual misfire
so what is the cause of my car driving like a bag of sha*t, the dizzy cap or the fact that its not been driven as usual ??
Any ideas ??
Jose

If it has been standing dry out the dizzy cap and try it, it could just be condensation in there

I bought a new dizzy cap and rotor arm, but the think is, theproblem dissapears when the engine is hot, so I doubt the new cap is going to sort out anything...
