Tacho & Dash light

Hi,

Sometimes the tacho & the light illuminating it stops working. A tap to the cluster and both the tacho & light work again. Any ideas on the problem?

A problem of this kind with a light is usually as simple as a blown bulb, but since you have the tacho problem as well, you should open up the instrument cluster and check the soldering of the blue and white sockets to the circuit board for cracks, especially the white one.
Sometimes the uninitiated try to force the plugs out of these sockets to disconnect them, instead of lifting the locking bar.
