Hi I have 2 good panels to replace the scratched/rusty ones currently on the car, the wing I gather is bolt on 4-5 bolts in engine bay at top of wing and 2 at the bottom of arch, do I just remove these and also I'm guessing I will need to take my mtech bumper and splitter off to do this?

Secondly the passenger door, how do I go about changing this, also bear in mind the car has remote central locking, so will it be a right pain in the arse to change everything over?

cheers

its a mission but doable. Yes the bumper has to come off and the grille and under arch splash guards on the side you are changing. The main point to bare in mind is when removing the door, be sure to undo the two vertical 10 mm bolts on the hinge NOT the four 13 mm nuts securing the door to the hinge. This will ensure that you have a pretty good chance of the door fitting reasonably well without any foooking about.

The wiring plug and check strap are straight forward to detach. You will need to change your door lock barrel . This is a job that could do with two people as the door is pretty awkard and heavy.

Wing.

Remove bumper

Selection of bolts around the headlight opening,as well as those down the inner wing and the base of the wing. You will also find some self tappers down the A pillar, accessed from under the wing, after removing the liner.

Door

Open door :D
Remove the clevis pin on the door check strap
Pull out the electric's plug from the A pillar(note that you need to squeese two lugs in to release this)
Remove the two 8mm bolts frome the centre of each hinge.
Lift door off the lower hinge.
NOTE;
Do not remove the hinge bolts from either door or car frame, the door will remain inplace after the hinge bolts are removed as it sits on a stub pin on the lower hinge.
Removing in this way WILL maintain the panel gaps.

If your replacement door comes with the 'body' part of the hinge as well as the door part, great, just remove the 8mm bolt from the hinge and put the body part in your treasure store,if it's just a bare door wth niether part of hinge attached, transfer your door hinge and all the backing plates to the replacement door, and align by just adgusting the door parts.
Youth is wasted on the young.

Wing:

Jack Car up, take wheel off, take liner out, remove front bumper, unbolt nuts/screws on top of wing, at front of wing, inside rear of wing and bumper mounting bracket.

Refitting is reverse of above

Door:

Make sure car is steady, open door and remove clevis pin on door stay, open door wider (take care not to contact wing) and peel back black rubber loom connector cover on door pillar, unplug connector, support end of door to stop it drooping.

Now you have two options either unbolt hinges from door or pillar and remove door (remember to keep shim plates) or undo nut on hinge pin and remove pins then remove door. Both ways have their merits.

Place door outer skin down on secure padded surface and remove door card/inner lining - loom replacement becomes very obviouswhen you can see everything.

When you have built up the new door you need to rehang it

This will take time

If you just removed the hinge pins then all you have to do is prop it in place and replace the pins. If you unbolted the plates then all you have to do is rebolt the plates

Then you have to align it which is what takes the time as it involves the shims and the bolts and jiggling and joggling and the patience of a saint along with the strength of an ox, the dexterity of a pianist and a touch like a mothers kiss.

If wing and door are on the same side do door before wing and final tightening after both are on.

There is probably a better guide in the wiki :D

Important: Fully replace the rubber boot on the door wiring plug BEFORE plugging it back into the A pillar socket.
Failure of someone at sometime to do this is a major cause of water ingress, leading to electro-chemical corrosion in this connector.
