Hi,
So quite recently, I've noticed it's getting colder and my heating is becoming less and less effective. I don't really know much about this kind of stuff, but do E30's generally not heat up very well during winter?
Other thing is, when my windscreen is frozen on the outside, you can guarantee it's frozen on the inside!
Thanks
Heating inside the car

E30s have very good heating, have you tried bleeding your cooling system? I suspect that if your car is very damp on the inside then you have a leak somewhere. There are plenty of places that water can get in; rear light gaskets, sunroof drains, windows seals, door membranes etc. Do you have any damp carpets or swimming pools in the boot?

No, I’ve never tried that. I wouldn’t really know where to start even though I guess it’s really straight forward. The one thing I have noticed is that my engine temperature doesn’t ever get to half way, it sits just higher than the quarter mark! As for the leaks, well”¦ There is an on-going issue however, ever since I have parked the car on the street rather than on the drive (on a sloped angle), the water has ceased coming through the back left window. Mine is a two door coupe with the pop out windows.Morat wrote:E30s have very good heating, have you tried bleeding your cooling system? juser, have a read of the following, only the parts up to Brian Moore's post are relevant.

As for the temp gauge not moving past the halfway mark, don't worry about where it sits
as long as it's out of the Blue and not in the Red.
