Which Fuel Pump

Please could someone help. Will a 318 fuel pump, typically off ebay, fit my 316 touring? I mean just the pump bit. e.g.

Same internal fuel pump is used in all E30s. It's just the mounting frame that differs between 55 litre and 62 litre tank models.

Just for the record, the new pump was different from the one I removed. It was shorter and smaller in diameter by about 20%.
However I managed to make it fit.
