NO, tape won't hold.
Best to cut the pipe where it's split, if it's near the pump, and do it that way, it'll hold then.

Take the lower O ring off of the coolant tank pressure cap to prevent the system from pressurising, drive with the heater on full, drive in full fuel economy mode to minimise heat production, watch the temp. gauge and the coolant level light (if you have an engine with a full complement of cylinders).

yep its a 6 pot! i let it cool down and drove at about 1k with heaters on full just at my mates, it just went over into the other side but i got there! the split is just below the jubilee clip so il just pull it off and cut the end off and push it on looks like theres enough slack the water pump end isnt flared is it?
if i pull it does it need rebleeding took me over an hour just 2 weeks ago!

Managed to get the hose on got it home, would the car need rebleeding? To account for the water that fell in the hose I removed and cut?

Ffs Think CPS sensor is now malfuntioning due to the coolant drip on it! When I press the accelerator car hesitates and stalls! And is chugging and not smooth!
I've just removed it after it didnt start, and cleaned it hairdryer on it?!
