right guys need to know if the suspension on my car will be ok for a 2.5 lump. my cars a 1.8 but with spax springs and suspension. so will it work once i do the conversion?

Front suspension will be different, rears wont need touching.

Get some H&R /Koni Bilstein stuff in there. Youl feel a massive improvement in ride over the spax with same or better handling.

heavier springs will be needed at the front for the extra weight

can sort you a deal on some coilovers if your looking at buying NOW

would i need to change the whole suspension to the 325 setup. as the strut is wider or summin.

Would be better off doing that mate, especially if you have'nt done the brake conversion to the vented disc's. It won't cost alot to change it over to the 325 setup, remember it's just the same as the 320 setup so don't turn one down! You might be looking at about Ԛ£30-Ԛ£50 a side at the breaker's and you'll get the whole lot :D

If your talking about the car in your pic, then it will have all the bigger parts from factory, so wont need any changes.

yeh andrew the car in my sig, its a 1.8 so how comes it will have the bigger parts? i have upgraded the suspension already to spax springs and shocks.
i know the brakes need changing as there not vented ones.

I thought that all Cabs came with disks all round and Vented at the front with 51mm struts, unless someone has taken those parts from your car.

it has discs all round but not vented. none of the 318i cabs do... dunno.
not sure about the struts tho.
