Hi,
I've just recently changed my window seal on my 325i coup, however there's still water coming through and leaking into the cabin!
I've had a guy come over to look at it and after spending an hour with a hose, he's identified that the water is coming into the seal (rather than around it) from the top of the window and leaking down through the seal where there seems to be a tiny gap, pressed into the metal, then dripping through into the car!
The guy who came over said that what might solve this is this horrible white looking glue substance... Has anyone replaced these seals before and agree that the glue will solve the problem of water leaking into the seal?
Thanks
Julien

Sorry,I've not yet owned a two door saloon,so have no experience of these rear windows.juser wrote:It's the rear left window and on the coupé
However, from playing with windscreens,I have discovered that it is vital that the seal drain holes line up with the frame holes.

Sorry, to keep this thread going, but has no one else had any experiences of changing the window seal on a coupé? I'm still getting a fair bit of water going through... I'd appreciate any help

So I'm still not really getting an answer, so I'm thinking that perhaps I am asking the wrong question!
I thought about this a bit more recently, but on the image below, there is a draining system, I've drawn an arrow to show where it is.... Is that draining system supposed to flush the water straight out, or does it leak a little bit into where the gasket is, which sits between the car and window?

Thats not the seal thats the drainage gutter, the clip could be damaged and it might not be sitting correctly, there could be corrosion behind it?

OK, so no water is supposed to be getting through this... It is just supposed to flush through?verde wrote:Thats not the seal thats the drainage gutter, the clip could be damaged and it might not be sitting correctly, there could be corrosion behind it?
