i recently bought a scorpion twin exhaust system to replace my standard system on my 318i as it is knackered. i was going to fit it tomorow if weather is decent but the problem is when ive looked at the scorpion exit pipes, it looks like they are going to be too big for the exhaust exit.. whats the best way to go about it this?

i kinda dont want the backbox to sit daft below the standard exhaust exit.

cheers, for any help

A nibbler is probably the best tool for the job, but it'll depend on what you can get your hands on. Small disc grinder and a jig saw will also do the job.
Probably a good idea to take measurements from a six cylinder E30 valence to get the cut where it should be.

i used a small grinder then a dremmel . right angles are a no no here .

draw the shape you want on the valance first,i done mine by eye then had to give it a tiny trim as it was catching mainly on bumpy roads/tracks ,i wanted mine as close/small as possible to keep it neat and tidy looking.I treated the bare metal with rust remedy then under-sealed the whole inside if the valance and waxoiled over the under-seal .

make sure you reseal and bare metal afterwards, the rear valance is a known rust spot anyway dont want to make it any worse
