I've got the rear suspension stripped enough to get the springs and drop links out & want to treat the exposed bits & what chassis I can see. There's no structrial problems just loose scabby rust. So which do you recommend; POR15 or Epoxy Mastic 121? There's conflicting reviews on the web! Cheers J

I did an Alvis chassis in POR15 about five years ago and it still looks good.
Can't comment on Epoxy Mastic though...
Schadenfreude - the German's haven't got a word for that.

Whatever you use you need to at least grind the scabs back to clean metal and then maybe treat with something like Fertan. Painting straight over rust isn't a great idea.

Thanks for the feedback. Reading a bit more on this subject (it's a sad life I lead) I'm going the Mastic 121 route. A lot is written about POR15 not being user friendly when stored for use later & it got a poor score in a Practical Classics test a while back. I'll write up my findings but don't hold your breath it'll be some time before the crap's off the metal. J
