Tried to start my 325 convertible this morning and it's dead! Just bought the car & so far haven't used the immobiliser (it's garaged) but yesterday I thought to put the imob key in the special lock thingy & nothing seemed to happen. It didn't turn or do much at all. I tried to start up this morning & the car's dead. There's plenty of juice in the battery. Any ideas? Please! I would quite happily kick the imob into touch but would probabaly end up in more trouble! Cheers J

Confirm it turns over by bridging pins 11 and 14 in the diagnostic socket, and if it does, connect a piece of wire between the + terminal of the ignition coil and the + terminal of the battery, then link 11 and 14 again, and see if it starts.

Thanks all; problem solved! By the time I'd finished faffing around the battery was dead so I disconnected it and charged it up. Just started the engine. Happy Bunny....Thanks again. J
